Best Goals: Matchweek 8

A quarter of the season is in the books, everyone. We’ve been blazing our way through 8 weeks of fantastic football while documenting the best scores along the way. This week I waited to post this until today in hopes that the Liverpool – Man United game on Monday would yield some sensational strikes, but alas I was left disappointed with a 0-0 draw at Anfield. I’m sure Dustin and I will have a great to say about that game on the podcast this week, but for now here are a few of my favorite goals from over the weekend.

Victor Moses (Chelsea) takes back heel from Nathaniel Chalobah for a clinical finish (80’) vs. Leicester City (3-0)

Romelu Lukaku (Everton) on the counter (64’) vs. Manchester City (1-0)

Theo Walcott (Arsenal) scores his second on a perfect touch (32′) vs. Swansea (2-0)
Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea City) picks off Xhaka and laces a perfect ball past Cech (38’) vs. Arsenal (1-2)

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) with the pretty volley (57’) vs. Swansea City (3-1)

Dele Alli (Tottenham) brings Spurs level with the outside of his foot (89’) vs. West Brom (1-1)

Jose Holevas (Watford) scores a wiffleball-like rocket to take the lead (54′) vs. Middlesbrough (1-0)

Nacer Chadli (West Brom) hits pay dirt against his former team on the rebound (82′) vs. Tottenham (1-0)

Valentin Stocker (Hertha Berlin) takes a perfect back heel and buries it (51’) vs. Borussia Dortmund (German Bundesliga)
