Best Goals: Matchweek 9

Despite a few nil-nil snoozers this weekend we were graced with several dramatic late goals including one that may end up being the goal of the season (Sorry Jordan Henderson). I know it’s early, but Xherdan Shaqiri AKA  the Alpine Messi sent in a curling missile of a shot against Hull that will not soon be forgotten and is a major highlight for Stoke’s otherwise lackluster season thus far. Got a few bonuses from Serie A, Bundesliga, and women’s international play, too.

Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City) with what might be the goal of the year thus far (26’) vs. Hull City (1-0)

N’Golo Kante (Chelsea) lays waste to all would be defenders (70’) vs. Manchester United (4-0)
Christian Fuchs (Leicester City) scores a swerving volley (79’) vs Crystal Palace (3-0)

Phillip Coutinho (Liverpool) makes two defenders look silly before slotting it near post (35’) vs. West Brom (2-0)

Winston Reid (West Ham) last second winner (90’+4’) vs. Sunderland (1-0)

Scott Arfield (Burnley) steals three points late (90’) vs. Everton (2-1)
