Best Goals: Matchweek 14

Another week, another Diego Costa winner. The Brazilian has been featured so many times in these weekly posts that I may have to change the title to “Diego Costa’s Goal of the Week”. This is his season, the rest of the EPL are just participating.

Diego Costa (Chelsea) once again helps the Blues take three points late with a rocket from an uncommon angle (77′) vs. West Brom (1-0)

Now, despite what you might think, there were also other goals this week that are due some serious praise. See below:

Dimitri Payet (West Ham) uses that golden right foot to bring the Hammers level at Anfield (27′) vs. Liverpool (1-1)
Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) boops a perfect header over the helpless Jack Butland (50′) vs. Stoke City (2-1)
Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) shocks MC with an early counter attack (3′) vs. Manchester City (1-0)
Jeff Hendrick (Burnley) corrals a long through ball and volleys it perfectly past Boruc (13′) vs. Bournemouth (1-0)
Andy King (Leicester City) scores from deep (5′) vs. Manchester City (2-0)
Stefano Okaka (Watford) nets a vicious backheel (36′) vs. Everton (1-1)
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) reduces two defenders to a pile of dust before hitting a ridiculous roofer (69′) vs. Hull City (2-1)
Theo Walcott (Arsenal) redirects a Bellerin cross to draw level (42′) vs. Stoke City (1-1)
Frazier Campbell (Crystal Palace) heads in a late equalizer (88′) vs. Poor Poor Hull City (3-3)
Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Manchester United) scores his first ever EPL goal in resounding fashion (29′) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (1-0)

Sofiane Boufal (Southampton) launches an ICBM strike (53′) vs. Boro (1-0)
Around the World

Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) scores a wonder goal vs. Wigan (English Championship)

(Shouts to Ed Herpel)

Sergio Ramos scores his weekly winner in stoppage time vs. Deportivo (Spanish La Liga)

Carlos Teves scores an absolute screamer vs. River Palate (Argentine Primera División)

PS: Sorry the streamable links didn’t embed this week for some reason. Working on a fix.
